Shanghai Foreign Language Audio-visual Publishing House¹ (SFLAPH) was founded in April, 1983, and Shanghai Foreign Language Electronic Publishing House (SFLEPH) was established in August, 2005. As China’s first audio-visual publishing entities, the two publishing houses are run by Shanghai International Studies University under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education.

By vigorously tapping the intellectual and academic resources of Shanghai International Studies University, SFLAPH and SFLEPH have established distinctive publishing mechanism, integrating teaching, research and production. It mainly engages in the editing, production, publishing, and sales of electronic foreign language audio and video products under Lovefuture brand. To meet the needs of language learners from all levels of society, these products were published in 23 languages including English, Japanese, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Italian, Portuguese and Chinese as a foreign language.

With various departments like editorial department, sales department, administrative department and publishing department, SFLAPH and SFLEPH have formed a complete publishing system of editing, manufacturing, production and distribution of electronic audio-video products. Sales outlets of the products are established in more than 30 provincial cities across the country, so readers can enjoy faster and more convenient service.
